Inspirational to the design of Glasgow was a country home in Scotland. The massing of the two major shapes resulted in it becoming more of a sculptural representation of the original home. Influenced by the Scottish architect Charles Rennie Macintosh who combined the Arts and Crafts tradition with radical modernist innovation. The vertical emphasis evident in this bird house was adopted from his language of architecture.
My art pieces are made of solid pine timber with little or no knots. Nails, dowels, screws, biscuits and waterproof adhesives were used in the assembly and finished with three to four coats of exterior grade house paint.
Note: All surfaces are painted or sealed, NO raw wood exposed.
Each of my birdhouses has a removable access panel which makes cleaning simple for the next nester.
Dimensions: L 10” x D 7.5” x H 11.75”
Colors: Natural pine, Light and Medium Sage Green, Deep Red & Black.
