A modern bird house with a fifties vibe, derived from a retro design of the De Stijl movement employing abstraction and simplicity. Lessons taken from the Schroder House in Utrect, Netherlands was the inspiration for this design. It has a removable floor to access the interior for cleaning. The cube geometry and its flat roof design is the expression of its simplicity. The overlapping planes are used as a way of utilizing color blocking.

All of my birdhouses are double boxed, the inner box is made from 1” foam insulation and packed into an outer cardboard box to assure the birdhouse arrives safely to its destination.
