The De Stijl Movement was influential in the design of this modern birdhouse, and on the guidelines this style of architecture. This artform developed in the Netherlands in the early twentieth century embracing architecture, art and design. Founded by Piet Mondrian and Theo van Doesberg. The orthogonal lines were strictly adhered to, although some exceptions were allowed in later versions on this type of architecture. The compact design of this birdhouse is filled with details to make this simple box shape relevant of that style.
